Application Scientist

Position Description:
Application Scientist

We are seeking a talented Application Scientist to work in a fast-paced, high technology environment. The candidate will join an established team of engineers and scientists supporting existing product lines, and developing new applications and technologies for new markets. This person will assist in developing and in some cases delivering technical documentation for Polychromix’s analytical devices, and will have some involvement in post-sales support to customers on scientific, installation and operational matters.


Required Qualifications:
 
 * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related discipline
 * Previous experience as an Application Scientist within the Analytical Device Market
 * 2-5 years experience in a “Start-up” environment
 * Direct experience in pharmaceutical or related industries
 * Experience with optical spectroscopy - NIR a plus
 * Familiarity with data analysis and chemometrics would also be helpful
 * Some self-governance is expected, but the successful candidate will be operating in an interdisciplinary environment in most activities
 * Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and other software/internet based applications
